In 2012, Laura Davis began observing and capturing images of landscapes and seascapes using the camera in her iPhone 4. As she explored the effects of enhanced digital photography, she quickly became inspired by her ability to reinterpret her view of scenes and everyday items. After attending a photography class at a local college, she turned her focus to the play of layered colors and objects to create abstract art photos. She also takes photos of landscapes and animals. However, her primary interest is in images that do not reflect the seen world.
I feel a sense of amazement and joy to discover, relatively late in life, that I have a unique artistic ability and expression in the visual arts. Who knew? I opened my heart (it broke wide open) and creativity found a home there.
